Dubai had been and still is a city of wonders even though geographically it was not so in the past. It was an arid region majorly with some region comprised of the oasis. However, as the years passed by, the places around Dubai is no more remaining as such. They had altered to a global city with tall skyscrapers, massive malls, exciting amusement park and elevated highways. However, amid these concrete jungles, they had not forgotten about creating soothing green spaces to relax and spend their leisure times. With this same motive, they had been maintaining various greens such as the Creek Park, Barsha Park, Mushrif Park, Umm Suqlem Park and so on. Yet the garden of Safa Park situated in Al Hadiqa Street of Dubai is special for quite many reasons.
Listed below are the intriguing fact that makes the Safa Park of Dubai Park unique and a ‘must-visit’ site.
Flea Market on every first Saturday

It would be quite a rare sight to find a market on the premises of a park. However, Dubai city makes that possible. Safa Park in the south-western region of the city is the prime location of this once in a month Flea Market that is held on every first Saturday of the month. Such a procedure may resemble like Peelamedu Pudur Saturday Market of Coimbatore. Nonetheless, the kinds of stuff sold here are different, as here you are selling things that are unwanted for you and will be useful for somebody else.
Challenging Sports Activities

People who are on tour in the city had got various options to get entertained. So they do not have to mandatorily go behind the exclusive challenging tour packages to experience them in Dubai. The challenging activities that you can be indulged in Safa Park range from boating to bumpy car driving. Apart from these adventures, you may try your skills in the common sports of Football, Long Tennis, Biking and Volleyball. You may pick up any activity that excites you. Furthermore, the restless kids in your travel group can be sent to the Giant Trampoline and Ferries Wheels.
Picturesque landscaping

The entire 64 hectares of this park is very aesthetically set along with lush green grass and cool water bodies. When considering the statistics, more than 80% of Safa Park is spared for its charming green spaces. You could even get to behold an adorable artificial waterfall at one of the corners, which is set as a hill. Very surprisingly, the urban park also does comprise a total of 4 lakes amid again the artificially grown forest. Such a sigh in once a deserted region will look astounding to the visitors.
Special Timing for Women

You don’t have to think that such a special timing set for the women and kids is yet another impact of the so-called ‘male chauvinism existing in Arab Nations’. But they are merely trying to protect their ladies by providing their own space at least once in a week, which is on every Tuesdays. On those days, men will not be permitted to enter the premises of the park. Moreover, the city of Dubai is much liberal in their ways than any other places in the Middle East.
Surprising Bird Visitors

The thickly covered green spaces and soothing atmosphere had been welcoming the bird population to the park to a greater extent. When you are strolling around the walkways, you could get to see diverse kinds of birds such as the kingfishers, parakeets, warblers, geese and wood pigeons. Most of these flying birds had built their nest and had inhabited in the 16000 kinds of bushes and trees. Besides, the cool setting would also tempt the numerous migratory birds to rest in their branches.
The location of historical significance

The areas where now the vast expanse of Safa Park covers was once a settled by yet another expatriate of erstwhile Dubai, most prominently by the immigrants from South Asia. The Dubai government had relocated them to other parts of the city to implement their ideas of creating meaningful green space. Moreover, these South Asian immigrants were working in construction locations as labourers. Amid their tight working schedules, they never used to get free enough time to beautify their surroundings. Instead, it was almost like a dumping place with all the scraps. Also, they were settled here illegally against the code and conducts of the Government.
Dubai Water Canal passes through the park

The part played by the Dubai Canal to make Safa Park greener and a favourite spot for birds is indeed crucial. You would seldom cross over the long canal and their mesmerizing views especially during the night when you are on tour in Dubai. So, while you are strolling in the park, you would get to behold a small part of this artificial canal of Dubai. However, if discussed the major purpose of its existence, they would never serve like the Narmada Water Canal is important to the people of Ahmedabad as the former was profoundly for transportation and commercial needs.

Dubai is no Alien place to Indians, especially to the people from down the South of the country. Even the people from Northern states too had made the city their home. As the food tops the list of the most significant requirements for human survival, this topic had to be discussed anyhow in the transfer of cultural exchange between Emirati and Indians. Moreover, this is obviously not a transition that had happened recently, but for a closer mixing of both cultures since a couple of centuries ago. The impact of such an exchange is clearly visible in the food culture of the Indian here. Take, for example, check out the popularity of the Arab dishes like that of Kuboos and Shawarma even in the common Indian households who had never been to the Middle East in their lives.
More such examples of food influence can be realized while you are on tour to the city of Dubai. Consider, for instance, the popular location of Karama does comprise a really large population of Indian. Hence even you are 1000 miles away from the Indian mainland, you would not feel so. Such a cultural influence to each other can be noticed from shop, restaurants and other buildings that are constructed based on the Indian style of Architecture. Above all that, the easiest and fastest cultural transmission is in food culture. The internationally acclaimed Indian delicacy of Hyderabad Biriyani can be seen here in Dubai as yet another version of Chicken machboos. Moreover, the dishes that are made available in adorable packages such as Chicken Tikka and prawn Kebabs had got many takers here.

It is a well-known fact that one of the most important characteristics of Indian foods is that, the diverse collection of spices added in the making process. They could be the reasons for making them a standout and unique when compared with International cuisine. Gradually, the local native population of these Emirates are now used to these taste and had included them in the common menu of the Emirati home. Especially the popular Indian snack of samosa and pakoras are consumed in its raw flavours and in Emirati versions. So the Indians who had made Dubai their home may easily procure them from the Indian restaurants or eateries and would never miss their homeland anyhow for this sole reason. Meanwhile, the travellers vacationing in the city may also purchase them from these locations.

Some Indians do drop in the Indian eateries that are led by popular Indian chefs. At those places, you may find the menu consisting of some cross-cultured dishes that are cooked from the ingredient available in Dubai but prepared in Indian flair. Best examples of such cross-cultures dishes are that of Emirati Buratta and delicious aubergine in roasted forms. Furthermore, the typical Goan cuisines have got numerous regular Indian visitors whose ideal flavours to relish are the coastal recipes. Most of them would be cooked from the fishes caught from the seas of Dubai, which would later garnishes with countless curry leaves and sesame seeds. This very aroma would sheer bring your memories back to the homely food if you are a south Indian. Whereas, the Goan Chicken recipes should also not be ignored from the attractive menu if you are an ardent fan of spicy and hot delicacies.

Moreover, the influence of anything Punjabi is indeed infectious, whether it is their bewitching dance form of Bhangra or their butter chicken and Dal Makhni. Well, in the Downtown of Dubai, you could get several Punjabi dishes besides the mouth-watering prawn kebab that will be flavoured with both mint and Chilli. Indians would love to eat food from anything cooked in an open kitchen, which in some way could make them reminisce about the typical Indian Dhabas. Recipes are grilled here in the most enticing ways that would alter any normal dishes to an exceptional one. In all these places, one could get to listen to the soft Bollywood music played in the background. Even at some eateries, you may consume the best Gosht Saagwallah prepared with your personal flavours on the perfectly cooked lamb dipped artistically on a thick gravy.

Finally, we will be conferring on the likes of vegetarians either on tour or living helplessly in Dubai. For them, there are a few meat-free restaurants in the city where you could avail all sorts of vegetable savoured dishes which also composed of a large number of green chillies, mustards, garlic, coriander leaves and onions. From its very ethnicity in the food culture, at some moment of time, you will indeed feel that you are eating out at some local vegetarian hotels of Ahmedabad. The real taste of the delicious can be savoured at its best when they are served in their trademark metal bowls, rather than on packages. Such norms is practised in their serving methods, as when doing so, all sorts of clarified butter will remain as such in its very smooth texture.

Here we had discussed on what any typical Indian would love to eat when they are in the global city of Dubai. So we are just hoping that the descriptions here would turn out to be useful for any tourist from India and is particular about food. Moreover, as mentioned before, Dubai had been a safe haven for the people who were willing to migrate and start a whole new life with wider job possibilities. However, at present, the location is more suited to flourish as an engaging travel destination.
